This Earth Day, Hart Print is making a promise to the planet: we are committed to planting 10,000 trees in 2024. Why? Because we have a greater responsibility to our environment, which goes beyond eliminating plastic. 

We’re teaming up with One Tree Planted to celebrate our Hart Print milestones with actual trees. For every new account created in 2024, we’re planting a tree. For every 100,000 cans printed, we’re planting a tree. This year, we’re printing cans and planting trees!

So, what does 10,000 trees look like? That’s:

15 acres of reforested land;
the cooling capability of 5,000 central air conditioners;
250 tons of absorbed carbon dioxide;
and enough oxygen for 1,500 people.

One Tree Planted is the perfect partner for this project. The nonprofit organization is on a mission to make it simple for anyone to help the environment by planting trees. Their reforestation efforts span the globe and are done in partnership with local communities and environmental organizations to create an impact for nature, people, and wildlife.

Let’s be real: our commitment is just a drop in the bucket when it comes to saving trees. In North America, wildfires burned 19.5M hectares of land in 2023, and the 2024 wildfire season has had an early start. Rising temperatures due to global warming dry out vegetation and increase the frequency of lightning storms, a perfect storm for wildfires.

That said, seeds of change start with a single tree. We all have a role to play to heal our planet. We hope that this gesture will encourage everyone to do something good too.
