If you’ve ever walked through Hart Print, you know this place isn’t just powered by ink and aluminum. It’s powered by music.
In the early days, it was a small crew in an echo-y shop and something was always playing. That soundtrack stuck. So when it came time to name the printers, we didn’t go with numbers or codes. We named them after musicians.
Meet the rockstars behind the cans you see out in the world:

Jolene is number one. Literally.
She was the first printer Hart Print ever acquired and the first printer in the world to print on the neck of a can. Everything we know started here, learned through truly wild hours put in by JP. Dolly Parton had the perfect warning song for her: “Jolene, please don’t take my man just because you can.”

Freddie is Hart Print’s second printer, named after Queen’s “We Will Rock You” and its unmistakable “boom boom psssss” rhythm that mirrors the sound of cans flying through a run. Like Freddie Mercury himself, this machine has range. It prints all five formats, no stress. A true rockstar in the lineup, Freddie currently holds the record for the most printed SKUs across all Hart Print sites.

Celine is our 10th printer. It was the most wanted printer by our MTL team to support our growth, and it did not disappoint. It lived up to the name of our beloved Quebecoise queen by opening capacity in our Quebec site.

We needed more metal.
Ozzy is our 11th printer, and the most voted name by the crew; a tribute to Ozzy Osbourne. Black Sabbath lives on in these walls and yes, we have a lot of metal heads here. Even our health and safety culture has Metallica roots, but that’s another story.

Fast, loud, and a total wildcard. Ludacris was Hart Print’s third printer and the first one to arrive in Chicagoland. He’s not your traditional hero, but when Luda is queued up, he prints so fast, so furious.

Chaka is our fourth printer and an absolute queen. Why Chaka? Because Chaka CAN! She switches between can formats and diameters like it’s nothing and puts up serious numbers doing it. In 2024, she led Hinterkopf output during her peak. Long live the queen.

Because Prince Prints. Get it? Prince is Hart Print’s 5th Printer and our sleeks freak! Ow! Sleeks make up about 50 percent of our Chicago output, and Prince handles them with consistency and style. Colorful, bright, epic.

Elton in Elkton, why not? Named after the Rocket Man for good reason. Elton was the first printer to arrive in Elkton, our sixth overall, and the first D360 at Hart Print. Less printer, more rocket ship. A true leap forward and a tried-and-true innovation.
Elton from the top!

I don’t know about you, but I feel like printing SKUs. Taylor is the second printer in Elkton and seventh in the Hart Print lineup. Powerful with poise. The kind of strength that makes everyone around her better. Much like Steph Hart, who is proudly a Swiftie.

Our third printer in Elkton and eighth overall. Named after The Police classic and on our wish list since the Jolene days. Roxanne runs clean and steady, which is exactly how we like it. The last thing anyone wants to see is a red light.

Laid back in vibe, deadly serious in output.
The name became inevitable during our gin and juice era. Snoop may be one of the newest in Elkton, but he’s already second in command for sleek production. A true D-O-double-G situation.
Snoooooooooop!

These printers aren’t just equipment. They’re part of the culture. Each one has a story, a sound, and a place in the band. Different genres, different personalities, same mission: printing a shitload of great cans with good people.
If you ever visit one of our plants, ask to see the rock show. We’ll give you the tour.
