What do you get when yeast, hops, and cans sit down with a bunch of passionate brewers? A pretty legendary industry meet-up, that’s what.

On April 11, 2025, Hart Print hosted 12 Quebec-based breweries at our Montreal facility for the first-ever brew industry exchange, a collaborative day designed to bring brewers together for real conversations, hands-on discovery, and a behind-the-scenes look at some of the brewing world’s key players.

The idea took shape thanks to a conversation between Hart Print's Morgan Pingot (Business Development Manager) and Stéphane Grenier (Regional Manager), along with JP Barbeau of Fermentis, which helped spark the concept of a brewer-focused tour. With support from our expert friends at Fermentis (yeast legends) and Yakima Chief Hops (hop royalty), the vision became reality.

The guest list included a mix of long-time Hart Print customers, newer clients, and brewers who were curious about working with us. The cool part? Most were brewers themselves, not business owners or sales associates. That made the conversations real, raw, and grounded in craft.

Things got rolling at the Yakima Chief Hops warehouse, then it was wheels up and off to Hart Print HQ. There, Head of Production Eduardo Sanchez gave brewers a walkthrough of our print technology and production flow, showing how we bring artwork to life, can by can.

While brewers got a peek at the process in action, Morgan and Stéphane led open discussions on everything from Hart Print’s evolving services to big-picture industry challenges — like seasonality, rising competition, and navigating tough times in the microbrew world.

“It was fantastic to connect on a human level with Quebec brewers and to exchange perspectives, from digital print challenges to the everyday grind of running a brewery,” shared Morgan and Stéphane.

And it wasn’t just talk. The vibe was casual, collaborative, and inspiring. Brewers brought their own products to share (which we loved), and there was even an impromptu collab idea born between two of our participants. With Fermentis wrapping up our session with an inside look at their latest innovations, the crew settled in for some well-earned chill time: pizza, beer, and easy conversation.

Feedback like this from Noire et Blanche helps us keep doing what we do: “A huge thanks to Hart Print for the warm welcome. We discovered their impeccable can printing services — a true reference in quality and professionalism!”

We’re already planning the next round for fall 2025. We’re also looking into adapting the model for other beverage producers, like the cider or RTD markets. Because good things happen when good people gather around a table (with a few good beverages).

Many thanks to the following breweries for making this a memorable day:

Alchimiste Microbrasserie • L'Autre brasserie • Avant-Garde Artisan Brasseurs • Bénélux Brasserie Artisanale • Brasseurs du Monde • L'espace public • Farnham Ale & Lager • La Knowlton Co. • Noire et blanche • Les bières Shawbridge • Terre à boire • Usine-école Siboire
